Acceptable Use Policy
Launchr Pty Ltd | ABN 46 696 518 206
Effective from 21 August 2026
What This Policy Is About
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you can and cannot do when you use Launchr's services. We offer five things: Pitch (free review), Build (we create your product), Fix (we scan and repair existing software), Run (we manage your live product), and Sites (we build you a website). This policy applies to all of them.
We want you to succeed. This policy exists to keep your business safe, keep our platform running, and keep all our clients protected. It's written in plain English for a small business owner, not a lawyer's memo.
1. What You Own, and What You're Responsible For
You Own Everything We Build
When we build your product, or fix your code, or create your website, or manage your app — you own it, completely. The code is yours. The product is yours. Your customer list, your revenue, your data — all yours. We don't take a piece of what you earn. We don't hold your code hostage. We don't claim any ownership or control.
If you end our relationship, you leave with your source code, your accounts, your customers, and everything else. That's how it works.
You're Responsible for Legal Compliance
Here's the straight bit: while you own your product, you are responsible for making sure it complies with the law and does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property rights.
This means:
- Your app or website must comply with Australian law and any other laws that apply where you operate.
- You cannot use other people's code, designs, or content without permission.
- You cannot build something that violates someone else's trademark, patent, or copyright.
- If you are collecting customer data, you must comply with privacy law.
- If you are selling something, you must follow consumer protection laws.
We'll help you build it. We'll make sure the code works. But the legal risk of what you build — that sits with you. If someone sues because you've infringed their patent, or because your app breaks the law, that's a problem between you and them (and the law), not between them and us.
We're also not responsible for what happens to your product after we hand it over — data breaches, hacks, misuse of your code by someone else, security vulnerabilities you discover later. If you find a vulnerability after we've delivered, you own the decision to fix it and the cost of fixing it. We're happy to help via our Fix or Run services, but that's on you.
2. What You Cannot Do
2.1 — Illegal Activity
You cannot use Launchr's services to build, operate, or distribute anything illegal. This includes:
- Drugs. Apps or websites to buy, sell, or distribute illegal drugs or controlled substances.
- Weapons. Anything designed to help people obtain illegal weapons or weapons of mass destruction.
- Gambling. Unlicensed gambling, betting, or wagering services (unless you hold a valid license and comply with all applicable law).
- Human trafficking. Anything that facilitates trafficking, modern slavery, or forced labour.
- Sexual exploitation. Anything that sexualises or exploits children, or facilitates child sexual abuse material.
- Fraud. Anything designed to scam people, steal money, or commit identity theft or financial fraud.
- Terrorism. Anything that finances, plans, or incites terrorist activity.
- Hacking for illegal purposes. Tools or code designed to break into systems or networks without authorisation.
If we become aware that you're using our services for anything illegal, we'll shut your account down and hand information over to the police if required by law.
2.2 — Harm to Launchr or Our Infrastructure
You cannot try to damage, break, interfere with, or bypass Launchr's systems, security, or services. This includes:
- Hacking us. Attempting to access our systems, networks, or data without permission, or trying to break our security.
- Reverse-engineering. Attempting to reverse-engineer our platform, Agent systems, or tools to figure out how they work or to copy them.
- Denial of service. Flooding our systems with requests to make them slow or crash.
- Malware. Uploading viruses, malware, ransomware, or other nasty code to our platform.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be Launchr staff or another client.
If you discover a genuine security vulnerability, please tell us privately instead. We appreciate responsible disclosure.
2.3 — Intellectual Property and Copyright
You cannot infringe anyone else's intellectual property or copyright. Specifically:
- Don't use code you don't have permission to use. Don't copy libraries, frameworks, or open-source code without complying with their licences.
- Don't use other people's designs or content. Don't take images, videos, text, or design work from someone else and use them without permission or attribution.
- Don't use trademarks you don't own. Don't use brand names, logos, or domain names that belong to someone else.
- Don't distribute content you don't have rights to. If your product includes music, video, or images, make sure you own the rights or have a valid licence.
We'll build what you ask us to build, but we're not checking your entire codebase or library stack for licence compliance. That's on you. If someone claims you've infringed their copyright, that's between you and them.
2.4 — Harassment, Threats, Abuse, and Spam
You cannot use Launchr's services to harm, harass, or threaten people. This includes:
- Building harassment tools. Apps or websites designed to stalk, harass, abuse, or threaten someone.
- Spam. Using our services to send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or messages (unless you have clear consent from each person first).
- Abuse content. Creating or distributing content that is abusive, hateful, racist, sexist, or promotes violence.
- Misinformation. Deliberately spreading false information designed to deceive people or damage someone's reputation.
- Revenge content. Non-consensual intimate images or similar material designed to harm someone.
If you're running a legitimate marketing campaign, that's fine — but you need consent from everyone first, and a way for them to opt out.
2.5 — Accessing Other Clients' Data
You cannot try to access, copy, or interfere with another client's data, code, or product. This is a hard line.
- Don't try to break into another client's account.
- Don't try to figure out what data we hold about another client.
- Don't try to intercept, copy, or interfere with another client's builds, deliverables, or communications.
If you do, we'll terminate your account and keep evidence for law enforcement.
2.6 — Other Things We Won't Allow
You also cannot:
- Bypass our terms. Try to get around this Acceptable Use Policy or our Terms of Service through some trick or loophole.
- Export or republish our Agents. Our Agent systems are built into our platform. You can't extract them, republish them, or resell them as your own.
- Compete with us unfairly. We won't let you use our services as a way to build a competing product to resell directly against us (e.g., you cannot build "Launchr Clone" and immediately start selling it to our market as your own).
3. What We Do to Enforce This Policy
Monitoring
We monitor how the platform is used to make sure no one is breaking this policy. Some of this is automatic (software flags suspicious patterns), and some of it is manual (our team reviews reports from you or our other clients).
If we see something that looks wrong, we'll investigate. This might include:
- Looking at the code you've uploaded.
- Reviewing what your app or website does.
- Checking what data you're collecting and how.
- Looking at your communications on our platform.
We're not trying to spy on you — we're trying to keep everyone safe.
What We Can Do If You Break This Policy
If you breach this Acceptable Use Policy:
- We can suspend your account immediately. If the breach is serious or ongoing, you lose access to Launchr's services right now.
- We can terminate your account permanently. If you've breached this policy, we don't have to keep working with you.
- We can hand information over to the police or other authorities. If what you're doing is illegal, we're legally obliged to report it.
- We can pursue legal action. If you've caused us damage, we can sue you for it.
Important: We will do our best to tell you if something's wrong before we shut you down — but if the breach is serious (like you're trying to hack us, or you're building something illegal), we can terminate immediately without warning.
Refunds and Disputes
If we terminate your account because you broke this policy, you don't get a refund. You've asked us to build something (or fix something, or run something), and then you've broken our terms. That's on you.
If you think we've made a mistake, you can contact us and explain. We're reasonable people. But we'll make the final call.
4. Handling of Personal and Business Data
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Collecting personal data legally and ethically.
- Telling people what you're doing with their data.
- Having a Privacy Policy if you're collecting personal data.
- Complying with privacy law (like Australia's Privacy Act).
- Making sure you have the right to use any third-party data in your app.
If your customers come to us complaining about how you're using their data, and you're breaking the law, we'll help them. We might also suspend or terminate you.
Our Responsibility
We process and store your data and your customers' data only to the extent needed to deliver our services to you. We don't use it for marketing, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone else except as required by law.
Our Privacy Policy has more detail. This policy doesn't change your rights under Australian privacy law.
5. Disclaimers
What Happens After We Hand Over Your Product
Once we've delivered your product to you, what happens next is your responsibility — not ours.
- Security vulnerabilities. If we find a bug or security issue after delivery, it's on you to fix it (though we're happy to help through Fix or Run services, which are paid).
- Data breaches. If your app gets hacked because you didn't update the code or failed to secure your servers, that's on you, not us.
- Misuse of your code. If a contractor, employee, or someone else you trusted misuses your app after delivery, or steals your code, that's between you and them (and the law). We're not responsible.
- Third-party services. If your app depends on third-party services (payment processors, email providers, APIs) and they fail or breach your trust, we're not responsible for that either.
What We're Not
- We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost business. Even if we mess up badly, we won't pay you for business you didn't make.
- We are not your lawyer, accountant, or compliance officer. We build software. We help you think through technical problems. We don't give legal, tax, or regulatory advice. If you need that, talk to a real professional.
- We are not responsible for third-party code or services. If your app uses open-source libraries and one of them has a vulnerability, that's not our fault. It's up to you to keep those libraries updated.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy removes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If we fail to provide services with due care and skill, or if the product we deliver isn't of acceptable quality or fit for purpose, you have rights that we can't take away. This Acceptable Use Policy sits on top of those rights, not instead of them.
6. What You Can Expect From Us
We Will
- Build your product the way we promised.
- Hand over your source code, your data, and your accounts.
- Be honest if we think your idea won't work or if we think you're infringing someone's copyright.
- Help you through Fix and Run if something breaks after delivery.
- Be fair in enforcement. We won't shut you down for a small mistake.
- Tell you clearly if we think you're breaking this policy, unless the breach is serious.
We Won't
- Take a revenue share or a percentage of what you earn.
- Lock you into a long-term contract.
- Claim ownership of your product or your data.
- Process, hold, or remit your customers' payment data. (Your customers' money goes into your own Stripe account, not ours.)
- Sell your data or use it for marketing.
- Reverse-engineer or misuse your product for any reason.
7. Changes to This Policy
We might update this policy from time to time to reflect how the platform changes, or if we need to comply with a new law. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of material changes, and the notice will be clear and in plain English.
If you don't agree with the change, you can stop using Launchr. If you keep using it after the change date, you're accepting the new policy.
8. How to Report a Breach
If you see something that looks like someone else is breaking this policy (harassment, hacking, illegal activity, IP infringement), please report it to us:
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: "AUP report" helps us route it quickly.
Tell us what you've seen, who it involves, and any evidence you have. We'll investigate and take action if needed.
9. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes between you and Launchr will be handled under Queensland law and the jurisdiction of the Queensland courts.

10. Plain English Summary
Here's the one-page version:
You own your product completely. We build it, you own it. You can leave anytime and take it with you. We don't take a revenue share, ever. Your customers' money never touches us.
You're responsible for making sure it's legal and it doesn't copy anyone else's work. We'll build what you ask for, but the legal risk sits with you.
You cannot use Launchr for anything illegal — drugs, weapons, human trafficking, fraud, hacking us, stealing other clients' data, harassment, or spam. We'll shut you down if you do.
After we hand over your product, you own it and you're responsible for it. If it gets hacked, if it has a vulnerability, if it breaks — that's your call to fix. We're happy to help (for money), but it's not on us.
We might update this policy, but we'll give you 30 days' notice. We won't change the big stuff (you own your product, we don't take a revenue share) without a proper conversation.
